 nne C. Leddy (Anishinaabekwe) is a member of Serpent River First Nation an
 d grew up in Elliot Lake\, Ontario. She is an associate professor of Histo
 ry and Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Histories and Historical
  Practice in Canada at Wilfrid Laurier University. Her award-winning book\
 , Serpent River Resurgence: Confronting Uranium Mining at Elliot Lake was 
 published by University of Toronto Press in 2022. Leddy's work has appeare
 d in the Canadian Historical Review\,&nbsp\;Oral History Forum\, NAIS\, an
 d Herizons&nbsp\;as well as several edited collections.</p>\n<h4>About <em
 >Serpent River Resurgence</em></h4>\n<p><em>Serpent River Resurgence&nbsp\
 ;</em>tells the story of how the Serpent River Anishinaabek confronted the
  persistent forces of settler colonialism and the effects of uranium minin
 g at Elliot Lake\, Ontario. Drawing on extensive archival sources\, oral h
 istories\, and newspaper articles\, Lianne C. Leddy examines the environme
 ntal and political power relationships that affected her homeland in the C
