When Andrew Mellick chronicled the settlem ent and struggles of his ancestors in "The Story of an Old Farm\," he was incapacitated from serious injury and relied on 1880s correspondence to ga ther his research. Yet\, he was able to produce a great deal of informatio n\, including a five generation descendancy chart for Johannes Moelick/Joh n Mellick\, who immigrated from Bendorf\, Germany in 1735\, and settled in Bedminster\, New Jersey in 1747.
