Science fiction is a genre that explores the possibility of wo rlds that could exist and are often rich in detail about futuristic techno logy and science. Though the elements explored in science fiction may be u nknown\, they are not magical because of their strict adherence to science . Many nonreaders of the genre may find it intimidating\, but there's noth ing to fear! Science fiction exists on a scale from hard to soft. Soft sci ence fiction explores more of the cultural and societal side of future sci entific possibilities\, while hard science fiction focuses more specifical ly on ensuring mathematical accuracy.
