 :&nbsp\;</strong>Born out of Patty Loew&rsquo\;s thirty years as a journal
 ist and historian\, <em>Seventh Generation Earth Ethics: Native Voices of 
 Wisconsin</em> highlights individuals who helped to sustain and nurture th
 eir nations. This collection of biographies\, one from each of the twelve 
 Native nations in Wisconsin\, introduces the reader to some of the most im
 portant figures in ecological and cultural sustainability. Each of the bio
 graphies highlights an activist\, artist\, educator\, or healer who helped
  to sustain and nurture their nations in the past and present. The people 
 whose lives are depicted in <em>Seventh Generation Earth Ethics</em> under
 stood the cultural gravity that kept their people rooted to their ancestra
 l lands and acted in ways that supported future generations.</p>\n<p><stro
 ng>About the Author:&nbsp\;</strong>Bestselling author Patty Loew is Profe
 ssor Emerita in the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University
  and recently retired as the inaugural director of NU&rsquo\;s Center for 
 Native American and Indigenous Research. She is a documentary film produce
 r and former broadcast journalist in public and commercial television. A c
 itizen of Mashkiiziibii (Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe)\, she is 
 the author of several books\, including <em>Indian Nations of Wisconsin</e
 m> and <em>Native People of Wisconsin</em>\, which is used by tens of thou
 sands of Wisconsin school children as a social studies textbook.</p>\nhttp
