\nMicha el Lavrich and his beloved train display are back at the Downtown Bend Lib rary with the help of his son\, Kieran\, and long-time helpers Parker Gera rd and Grace Lickwar.
\nThis marks Lavrich's twenty-fifth year displ aying his trains at the library\, meaning children who first watched the t rains run years ago may now have children of their own with whom they shar e this family tradition. Lavrich began collecting trains more than 20 year s ago. While the public only sees the display once it's all up and running \, the set-up involves a lot of background work. "I pretty well dedicate D ecember to this\," Lavrich says. "It's a three day set-up and a four day t ake-down\, and there are a few weeks on each end at home."
