Jeff Pen
nington has worked for more than twenty-five years in data\, data
science\, and artificial intelligence. He has authored or co-authored mor
e than twenty peer-reviewed papers in the fields of biomedical informatics
\, data privacy\, and health AI. Jeff started his career developing web se
arch analytics at Ask Jeeves\, the first major commercial natural language
search engine right across the Bay in Emeryville. Most recently\, Jeff le
d data and artificial intelligence as Chief Research Informatics Officer f
or the Children&rsquo\;s Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute\, whe
re he worked for seventeen years before writing his first book. \;He i
s currently a strategic advisor to Manatt LLP on health data engineering a
nd artificial intelligence. He serves as a Director on the Board of River
Hospital in Alexandria Bay\, NY\, and coaches high school rowing in Philad
elphia\, PA. Jeff holds a bachelor&rsquo\;s degree in biology from Trinity
College and a master&rsquo\;s degree in computer science from Drexel Univ
