In this session\, Burlington Family Health Tea m physiotherapist Amanda Baxter \;discusses the best evidence for mana ging acute (new) low back pain. Learn how to best manage new back pain wit hin the first few weeks after injury\, through exercise and self-managemen t techniques. After the talk\, spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healt hy \;walk.
\nPlease arrive 10 minutes before the walk. Meet us n ear the Fireplace at the Tansley Woods Branch. We will then move to the ou tdoor space at Tansley Woods\, facing the grassy field just in front of th e library parking lot (just south of Upper Middle).
\nWalking is a w onderful form of physical activity and we encourage all levels of walking ability to participate in this event&mdash\;whether you complete the entir e walk or join us for part of the journey! Walking devices\, mobility aids \, and walking companions are welcome. All participants must sign a waiver \, which is provided at the start of the walk.
