These student musicians have received over fifty DownBeat Magazine Student Music Awards since 2010 which is consider ed among the highest recognition in Jazz education worldwide. UNLV Jazz en sembles and combos have performed at the acclaimed Monterey Jazz Festival\ , Village Vanguard and other notable venues throughout the nation. They ha ve received consecutive outstanding CD reviews 2010-2025 from the respecte d music publication and alumni perform internationally with distinguished ensembles including the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra\, directed by Wyn ton Marsalis\; the Count Basie Orchestra\; and many others.
