Do you need to answer questions in an upcoming job interview? \; Give a presentation at work or school? \; Make a toast at your sister's wedding? \; You can get through these (and so many more speaking scenarios) with average success - or you can be recognized as a polished presenter!
\nIn this five-week program\, \;participants\, who are called Speechcr afters\, have the opportunity to boost their confidence as they improve th eir public speaking skills\, within the safe\, supportive environment of a Toastmasters club. \;
\nIncluded in the training is: \;how to organize a speech\; using body language\; using vocal variety\; choosing clear\, concise words\; introducing and evaluating anot her speaker\; and impromptu speaking. \; After completing the course\, participants may be inspired to continue their Toastmasters journey by vi siting or joining a local club.
\nSessions will be held Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the followin g dates: October 7\, October 14\, October 21\, October 28\, and November 4 .
\nThis program is open to adults and to teens from Grade 9 and up.
\nSince 1924\, Toastmasters has been synonymous wi th excellence in public speaking. \; The \;Speechcraft program \;was de signed to introduce a novice speaker to the Toastmasters approach to publi c speaking. \; It was created to help people turn their speaking skill s into a craft - to help them improve their professional and personal comm unication skills using a condensed version of the Toastmasters member expe rience.
\nThis program is designed by \;Toastmasters International \;and will be p resented by members of local Toastmasters clubs.
