 el="noopener"><em></em></a>. Illustrator Jan Dolby will also be stopping b
 y to chat. Enjoy interactive fun with themed activities\, songs\, and craf
 ts&mdash\;plus you'll have a chance to meet Carolyn and Jan\, purchase a c
 opy of the book\, and have it signed.</p>\n<p>Presented in partnership wit
 h <a href="https://www.wordsworthbooks.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener
 ">Words Worth Books</a>.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>This is a drop-in event for famili
 es with children of all ages and their caregiver(s).</p>\n<p>Early Learnin
 g Programs for young children at WPL are based on literacy research and in
 clude tips and information for parents and caregivers. Your active partici
 pation in these programs will maximize the experience for you and your chi
 ld.</p>\n<h4>About the Author</h4>\n<p><a href="https://carolynhuizingamil
 ls.ca/about/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Carolyn Huizinga Mills</a>' f
 irst picturebook\, <em>The Little Boy Who Lived Down the Drain</em>\, was 
 published in 2017 and was a 2018 Blue Spruce Honour Book\, which gave Caro
 lyn the opportunity to meet many excited readers through school visits and
  at the Forest of Reading Festival in Toronto. Additionally\, Carolyn trav
 eled with OneWorld Schoolhouse to St. Lucia for their Rainforest of Readin
 g Program\, where she was able to share her story with even more readers. 
 Her second picturebook\, <em>Grandpa&rsquo\;s Stars</em>\, was published i
 n 2023. Her third picture book\, <em>I Drove My Bed to Grandma&rsquo\;s Ho
 use</em>\, will be released in the fall of 2025.</p>\n<hr />\n<p><strong>P
