Amy Thielen\, the author of the James Bear d Award&ndash\;winning cookbook The New Midwestern Table and her memoir Give a Girl a Knife\, is widely recogn ized for her warm\, engaging style and her passion for Midwestern food tra ditions. She \;will share insights from her culinary journey\, includi ng her experiences training in some of New York City&rsquo\;s top restaura nts and returning home to Minnesota\, where she rediscovered the richness of regional cooking.
