 ng></p>\n<p>Steve Perkins is an award-winning educator with more than thir
 ty years of experience teaching in secondary and university classrooms. Am
 ong his various honors and awards\, he is an Indiana Teacher of the Year\,
  Texas Foreign Language Association Latin Teacher of the Year\, and a Saga
 more of the Wabash. As a blogger\, podcaster\, and speaker\, he has spoken
  on many topics related to a broader understanding of education.&nbsp\;<br
  />Steve has published numerous articles and books. His books include <em>
 Latin For Dummies</em>\,&nbsp\;<em>Achilles in Rome: The Latin&nbsp\;Iliad
 &nbsp\;of Baebius Italicus</em>\, and&nbsp\;<em>Desert Days: 40 Devotions 
 for Men</em>. His articles\, including "From Servius to Advanced Placement
 : The Anfractuous Path of the Helen Episode in&nbsp\;Aeneid&nbsp\;2\," "Th
 e Depth and Charm of Latin Translation\," and "The&nbsp\;Homoousios&nbsp\;

 ology\, and philosophy.&nbsp\;Steve is a huge lover of music\, especially 
 classic rock and '80s metal\, but he can be found digging the blues\, jazz
 \, country\, and classical as well. A collector and user of fountain pens\
 , he also loves driving his black Ford Mustang and reading. His favorite f
 iction works at the moment are the Longmire novels by Western author Craig
  Johnson.&nbsp\;Steve is married to his college sweetheart Melissa\, who i
 s also a Latin teacher and education leader. They live in Westfield\, Indi
