About the Instructor: \;< /strong>
\nKaija Marshall \;is a yoga in structor\, birth &\; postpartum doula and holistic workshop facilitator . She earned her Master's degree in Social Work from San Diego State Unive rsity in 2015\, her 200 RYS Yoga Instructor certificate in 2016 and her Bi rth Doula &\; Postpartum Doula training in 2019. She currently serves g rowing families as a doula all over Bend. Before moving into the perinatal sphere\, she worked at Girl Scouts San Diego as an Evaluation Specialist\ , Camp Counselor &\; Outreach Program Leader\, all while moonlighting a s a nanny for families in San Diego County. She firmly believes in the pur pose of play\, and seeks to encourage mind\, body &\; soul connections through movement\, productive dialogue and authentic connection. She belie ves that data synthesis and gut feelings both have a place in decision mak ing-- this is also reflected in her background: a unique mix of higher edu cation &\; holistic training-- and this foundation allows her to help f olks bridge the gap between institutional &\; instinctual knowledge to a place of understanding.
