For this quarter&rsquo\;s selection\, we w ill be reading Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. This historical fiction no vel traces the lineage of two half-sisters in 18th- Century Ghana whose li ves take two very different paths after one sister is married to a wealthy British slave trader while the other is sold into slavery and shipped to the American colonies. The story follows seven-generations of the sisters& rsquo\; descendants and how their lives are consequently shaped by colonia lism and the trans-Atlantic slave trade both in Ghana and in the Americas.
