  parent.</p>\n<h5>About the Author</h5>\n<p>Jessica Slice is a disabled au
 thor\, speaker\, and essayist. <em>Her book\, Unfit Parent: A Disabled Mot
 her Challenges an Inaccessible World</em> has been shortlisted for the J. 
 Anthony Lukas Prize. This Toronto-based writer is the co-author of <em>Dat
 eable</em>\,&nbsp\;<em>This is How We Play</em>\, and <em>This is How We T
 alk</em>. Her work has been widely published in North American magazines\,
