  for the fun of it? Do you ever get stuck in a creative rut\, or stifled b
 y the fear of writing &lsquo\;badly&rsquo\;?</p>\n<p>Presented in partners
 hip with Writers Victoria&rsquo\;s Writeability program and guided by writ
 er\, artist and editor Alex Creece\, this workshop will equip participants
  with strategies to find and cultivate creative inspiration\, use games an
 d prompts to tackle writers&rsquo\; block\, and hone their unique authoria
 l voices.</p>\n<p>In a gentle and supportive environment\, participants of
  all abilities and experience levels can enjoy the process of exploring ne
 w techniques\, following their creative intuition and freeing themselves o
 f perfectionism and self-judgment.</p>\n<p>Writeability aims to provide pe
 ople who identify as disabled with opportunities to connect with writing a
 nd publishing. Based on the ethos of disability leadership\, peer-support 
 and the importance of self-told stories\, Writeability provides&nbsp\;tool
 s and information to support disabled writers who want to tell their own s
 tories in their own way.</p>\n<p>You will learn:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>How to nur
 ture (or reinvigorate) your love of writing</li>\n<li>How to write through
  writers&rsquo\; block</li>\n<li>How games\, prompts and exercises can sup
 port your creative practice</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About the presenter</s
 trong></p>\n<p><strong>Alex Creece</strong> is writer\, editor\, poet\, co
 llage artist\, and average kook living on Wadawurrung land. Alex&nbsp\;wor
 ks in editorial roles for&nbsp\;<em>Archer Magazine\, Cordite Poetry Revie
 w</em> and&nbsp\;<em>Sunder Journal</em>\, and her writing has been widely
  published.&nbsp\;She has been awarded fellowships with Writers Victoria\,
  Arts Access Australia\, The Wheeler Centre and Midsumma Pathways. Her wor
 k has been shortlisted for the Kat Muscat Fellowship\, the Next Chapter Sc
 heme\, the Geelong Writers Prize\, the Born Writers Award\, the Gwen Harwo
 od Poetry Prize\, and the Lord Mayor's Creative Writing Award. Alex is the
  author of <em>Potty Mouth\, Potty Mouth</em> (Cordite Books\, 2024)\, whi
 ch was a highly commended runner-up in the Five Islands Poetry Prize.</p>\
 n<p><strong>Tickets</strong></p>\n<p>Tickets $40 or $20 for concession car
 d holders</p>\n<p><strong>Accessibility</strong></p>\n<p>We are dedicated 
 to providing events that are inclusive and that respect our community&rsqu
 o\;s diversity.</p>\n<p>The event space is fully accessible by wheelchair 
 (via large lift)\, and there is&nbsp\;a&nbsp\;<a href="https://changingpla
 ces.org.au/find">Changing Places</a>&nbsp\;accredited toilet facility loca
 ted on the ground floor.&nbsp\; Wayfinding signage is available in Braille
 \, and customers with hearing aids can switch on &lsquo\;T&rsquo\; (Teleco
 il) mode and tune into any amplified source in the room&rsquo\;s inbuilt A
 V system.&nbsp\; Quiet spaces are also available. An AUSLAN interpreter ca
