Happy Novel Day! Novel Day is a celebratio n of the craft of writing novels\, featuring workshops and panels presente d by some of the most beloved novelists in our region.
\nIn this Nov el Day workshop\, attendees will learn some strategies for getting started on writing their novels.
\nAbout the presenter: Shawn Vestal is the author of the novel Daredevils\, which won the Washington State Book Award in 2016\; the short-story collection Godforsaken Idaho \, which won the PEN/Robert W. Bingham prize in 2014\; and the memoir A.K. A. Charles Abbott. A former columnist at The Spokesman-Review\, h e now works as the lead science writer for Washington State University. He is a graduate of the Eastern Washington University MFA program\, where he now teaches\, and lives in Spokane with his wife and son. \;
