Get out\, get active\, and enjoy all the b enefits that come from walking! \;This session is led by Burlington Fa mily Health Team Occupational Therapist\, Danielle Haney. First\, hear how to stay healthy\, safe\, and active throughout the winter season. Learn p ractical strategies to reduce your risk of falls\, navigate hazardous weat her conditions\, and maintain physical activity and social connection duri ng the colder months. \;Then\, spend the rest of the hour enjoying a r efreshing winter walk.
\nPlease arrive 10 minutes before the walk. M eet us in Centennial Hall in the library. We will then move to the outdoor space at the Central Park Rose Garden\, just opposite the south entrance\ , facing New Street.
\nWalking is a wonderful form of physical activ ity and we encourage all levels of walking ability to participate in this event&mdash\;whether you complete the entire walk or join us for part of t he journey! Walking devices\, mobility aids\, and walking companions are w elcome. All participants must sign a waiver\, which is provided at the sta rt of the walk.
