 by Wizards of the Coast</h3>\n<p>According to Wizards of the Coast\, the f
 irst Dungeons &amp\; Dragons (D&amp\;D) game was played back when Gary Gyg
 ax and Dave Arneson chose to personalize the massive battles of their fant
 asy wargames with the exploits of individual heroes. This inspiration beca
 me the first fantasy roleplaying game\, in which players are characters in
  an ongoing fantasy story. This new kind of game has become immensely popu
 lar over the years\, and D&amp\;D has grown to include many new ways to vi
 vidly experience worlds of heroic fantasy.</p>\n<p>The core of D&amp\;D is
  storytelling. You and your friends tell a story together\, guiding your h
 eroes through quests for treasure\, battles with deadly foes\, daring resc
 ues\, courtly intrigue and much more. You can also explore the world of D&
 amp\;D through any of the novels written by its fantasy authors\, as well 
 as engaging board games and immersive video games. All of these stories ar
