This lab will focus on using the Carbide N omad 3 for precision milling projects. We'll cover how to safely operate t he equipment\, how to prepare your designs\, and how to send files to the machine. You'll also learn about selecting the right materials\, bits\, an d following proper operating procedures. \;This Learning Lab i s required for all users before booking an appointment to use the equipmen t.
\nLearning Labs are designed for new Fabrication Lab use rs so that CFI staff can provide information on specific equipment\, inclu ding proper operating procedures and safety measures. Once patrons have co mpleted the orientation\, they will receive a digital badge on their libra ry card\, allowing them to easily reserve lab equipment through FPL's webs ite.
