\nThe Recorder of Deeds office is responsible for keeping a r ecord of documents primarily used in real estate\, such as deeds\, mortgag es\, easements\, surveys and plats. The Recorder&rsquo\;s Office also issu es and records marriage licenses. These documents and information can all be helpful when researching a property&rsquo\;s history. \; \;
\nOur guest speaker\, Bob Nolte\, was elected the Boone County Recorder of Deeds in November 2022. He earned a bachelor&rsquo\;s degree in histor y from Binghamton University and a Master&rsquo\;s in Education Administra tion from the University of Southern California. Prior to running for offi ce\, Bob served in the University of Missouri&rsquo\;s Athletics Complianc e Office. \;
