  Learn from comic artist David Reddick about how to jump start your comic 
 making. David Reddick is an American comic artist and painter who works on
  syndicated comics like "Blondie" and "Garfield\," and also on his own str
 ips "Legend of Bill" and "Intelligent Life." This will be all about coveri
 ng the basics\, getting inspired and seeing how you can create <em>your</e
 m> own comics for yourself\, or for others to see! Registration recommende
 d. All ages. No experience required! All materials will be provided.&nbsp\
 ;</p>\n<p>This workshop is all about inclusivity and accessibility - the f
 act that\, through this incredibly accessible medium\, anyone and <em>ever
 yone</em> can make comics about literally anything they want\, expressing 
 themselves in all their uniqueness and individuality\, while also processi
 ng this fast-paced\, busy world - one panel at a time. We will discuss how
  easy it is to make your own comics\, as well as how to create your own ch
 aracters\, come up with ideas\, the tools you can use\, formats\, and diff
 erent genres. There will also be discussion in terms of both traditional a
 nd digital tools.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>About teaching artist David Reddi
 ck</strong></p>\n<p>With over 25 years of experience as a professional car
 toonist\, David Reddick has made significant contributions to the world of
  comics. Beyond his role as an artist on the &ldquo\;Blondie&rdquo\; comic
 s team\, distributed by King Features Syndicate\, David has showcased his 
 talents by writing and drawing for renowned titles such as Garfield\, Pope
 ye\, Flash Gordon and Star Trek\, and for publishers and clients such as C
 BS Studios\, Paramount Pictures\, Roddenberry Entertainment\, NCAA\, Schol
 astic&rsquo\;s New York Times Upfront\, IDW Publishing\, Tokyopop\, Lights
 peed Fine Art and Titan Publishing in the UK\, to name a few.</p>\n<p>In a
 ddition to these accomplishments\, David is the creative force behind two 
 of his own syndicated comics\, &ldquo\;Legend of Bill&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;
 Intelligent Life\,&rdquo\; both featured through King Features Syndicate. 
 His creative prowess extends beyond comics\, encompassing work in comic bo
 oks\, manga\, publishing and animation. David has also left his mark on ed
 itorial illustration and cartoon projects for various newspaper chains.</p
