How do you read? Slowly? Ski mming? Write marginalia? Read the same genre in which you are writing so y ou can be lifted up and encouraged by Stephen King or John Irving\, or shu n writing in the same genre so that you are not influenced by and don&rsqu o\;t start sounding like King and Irving?
