 choose a poem from our dispensary of curated poems. New operators will be 
 paired with experienced operators.</p>\n<p><strong>Please note: attendance
  at the December 13 Writing Workshop is required to help answer calls at t
 his workshop. </strong>Observers are welcome to attend and enjoy the poeti
 c buzz of the poetry pharmacy. Operators need to arrive early to get orien
 ted before the hotline goes live at 2pm.</p>\n<p>Light refreshments provid
 ed by the Friends of the West Hollywood Library.</p>\n<p>Jen Cheng is the 
 Fifth West Hollywood Poet Laureate\, a Laureate Fellow with the Academy of
  American Poets\, a California Arts Council Fellow\, and a multidisciplina
 ry storyteller who amplifies under-represented voices. Jen is the founder 
 of Palabras Literary Salon\, celebrating BIPOC poets and writers. Jen blen
 ds East-West cultural influences as Feng Shui Poetry. With stories for twe
 en audiences\, mystery detective fans\, and queer love\, Jen is a cross-po
