 UTHOR</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Candacy Taylor</strong> is an award-winning
  author\, photographer\, and cultural documentarian&nbsp\;working on&nbsp\
 ;a multidisciplinary project based on the Green Book. Taylor is the author
  of <em>Overground Railroad: The Green Book and the Roots of Black Travel 
 in America</em>. <em>Overground Railroad</em> was chosen as the <em>New Yo
 rk Times</em>&rsquo\; most notable books of the year and made the Schombur
 g Center&rsquo\;s Black Liberation Reading List\, <em>Oprah</em> Magazine'
 s top 26 travel books\, and <em>National Geographic</em>&rsquo\;s top 10 l
 ist of books by women.</p>\n<p>Taylor is also the curator of an exhibition
  that is being toured by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition 
 Service (SITES) from 2020-2025.<br />Taylor was a fellow at the Hutchins C
 enter at Harvard University under the direction of Dr. Henry Louis Gates J
 r. and her projects have been commissioned and funded by numerous organiza
 tions including\, The Library of Congress\, National Geographic\, The Nati
 onal Endowment for the Humanities\, The National Park Service\,&nbsp\;and&
 nbsp\;The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.</p>\n<p>Taylor&r
 squo\;s&nbsp\;work has been featured in over 80 media outlets including&nb
 sp\;<em>The Atlantic</em>\, CBS Sunday Morning\, <em>The Economist</em>\, 
 <em>The Guardian UK</em>\,&nbsp\;<em>The Los Angeles Times</em>\, <em>The 
 New York Times</em>\, <em>The New Yorker</em>\, <em>Newsweek</em>\, PBS Ne
 wshour\, and <em>The Wall St. Journal</em>.</p>\n<p>Taylor lives in New Yo

 Times&nbsp\;Notable Book\,&nbsp\;<em>Overground Railroad&nbsp\;</em>is&nbs
 p\;the first book to explore the historical role and residual impact of th
 e&nbsp\;<em>Green Book</em>\, a travel guide for Black motorists used for
