 r and artist-teacher who creates meaningful connections with audiences acr
 oss the U.S. and abroad. James is the founding violist of the Abeo Quartet
  which was formed at Juilliard in 2018 and has been featured at Alice Tull
 y Hall\, The Kennedy Center\, and Norway&rsquo\;s Vertavo Festival. James 
 is currently pursuing his DMA studies at Northwestern University as the te
 aching assistant of Prof. Helen Callus\, and received his bachelor&rsquo\;
 s degree at the Juilliard School as a proud recipient of a Kovner Fellowsh
 ip.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>James is devoted to teaching and is currently on the vi
 olin/viola and chamber music faculty of Music Institute of Chicago. In 201
 9\, he taught young violists in Brazil as a guest faculty artist in partne
 rship with Guri Santa Marcelina. Dedicated to cultivating joy in his audie
 nces\, James is also active in community outreach and has participated in 
 engagement concerts with Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center&rsquo\;s 
 Meet the Music!\, &ldquo\;If Music Be the Food&hellip\;\,&rdquo\; and Unit
 ed Nations Chamber Music Society. His festival appearances include Music@M
 enlo\, Perlman Music Program\, Aspen Music Festival\, NYO-USA\, Yellow Bar
 n YAP\, and La Jolla SummerFest.</p>\n<p>Nathan Canfield serves as a staff
  pianist at Northwestern University&rsquo\;s Bienen School of Music. An ea
 ger collaborator\, he cherishes frequently performing with musicians from 
 his native Illinois and beyond\, including members of the Chicago Symphony
  Orchestra\, Lyric Opera of Chicago\, and Ravinia&rsquo\;s Steans Music In
 stitute. He has also worked alongside musicians of the Chamber Music Socie
 ty of Lincoln Center\, as well as members of other major orchestras and en
 sembles throughout the United States as a rehearsal and recital pianist. B
 eyond performing\, Canfield is also a passionate arranger and transcriber 
 for his instrument. He is an alumnus of Northwestern University\, where he
