\nSafetyNet: Smart Cyber Choices®\; is a 2-hour training that te aches how technology can be used in a safe\, positive\, and ethical manner while providing you with the tools needed to safely manage online lives f or both adults and children. SafetyNet was developed by the San Diego Poli ce Foundation and the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forc e. This training is available as an adult presentation or can be presented to elementary\, middle\, or high school-aged students. \;
\nKID S Center is a medical model Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) providing chi ld abuse evaluations that include a head-to-toe medical exam\, child-frien dly forensic interview\, family advocacy\, and mental health services to c hildren and families impacted by abuse. In addition\, our services include prevention programs to help teach adults in our community how to better p rotect children from abuse.
\nChildren are referred for a KIDS Cente r evaluation by one of four community partners including law enforcement\, DHS Child Welfare\, medical providers\, and licensed mental health profes sionals. Children and families can engage in KIDS Center advocacy and ment al health services without participating in an evaluation. All of KIDS Cen ter services are provided at no cost.
