ed to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for
  any unregistered attendees.&nbsp\;</strong></em></p>\n<p>Over the course
of three presentations\, Rebecca Lippman establishes groundwork for embrac
ing the fact that scholarships exist for everyone\, regardless of academic
merit or personal background. Without a good strategy\, however\, these s
cholarships feel difficult to find. Employing strategies that she has deve
loped over the past decade as an instructor\, Becca walks participants thr
ough a routine of practices used to identify\, apply for\, and manage scho
larships. These interactive tools and sequenced action items enable studen
ts to succeed in their customized searches for community-based scholarship
s\, subsequently reducing the cost of higher education.</p>\n<p><strong>Ja
nuary 21 - Session 1: The Complex Landscape of Scholarships for College</s
trong></p>\n<p>Before you dive into the many scholarship books\, YouTube t
utorials\, and spam-heavy databases that are out there\, attend this intro
duction to the contemporary scholarship landscape. In this presentation\,
Becca demystifies the complex network and application processes related to
scholarships for college and prepares you for the tuition ahead. Attendee
s learn why merit and community-based scholarships are so hard to navigate
\, how to approach the scholarship search process\, and what the realistic
timeline looks like if you or your student plans Fall enrollment.</p>\n<p
 ><strong>January 28 - Session 2: Finding Scholarships that Fit</strong></p
 >\n<p>Orienting participants around unique aspects of themselves as indivi
duals\, students\, and community members\, Becca walks participants throug
h the development of 10-25 customized search terms. Demonstrating the comp
lications of personal bias and online search processes with audience-based
  queries\, Becca teaches the &ldquo\;5-click strategy&rdquo\; of digging t
hrough identified websites with intention. Participants leave this interac
tive workshop with a categorized list of search terms for themselves\, a 3
-step process for online searches\, and a better sense of how public insti
tutions\, private donors\, and large organizations advertise scholarship o
 pportunities.</p>\n<p><strong>February 4 - Developing Unique Essays</stron
g></p>\n<p>Given the sheer number of scholarship opportunities out there\,
it might seem like a heavy lift to craft multiple stories for multiple co
mpetitions. Join this interactive workshop and learn how to develop a seri
es of interchangeable written &ldquo\;modules&rdquo\; that can be used to
address the most popular aspects of multiple scholarship essay prompts. Pa
rticipants learn to analyze and identify up to 3 typical varieties of the
scholarship essay and walk away with a clear sense of the most relevant co
ntent\, details\, and facts that must be incorporated into strong applicat
 ion materials.</p>\n<p><strong>About Rebecca Lippman</strong></p>\n<p>Rebe
