 February 8\, 2026</p>\n<p>Founded in 2006 by Grammy-nominated violinist an
 d award-winning composer Meg Okura\, the Pan Asian Chamber Jazz Ensemble (
 PACJE) performs original works that intersect jazz and classical chamber m
 usic practices. The New York Times described Okura&rsquo\;s compositions a
 s &ldquo\;a grandiloquent beauty that transitions easily from grooves to b
 ig cascades to buoyant swing.&rdquo\; PACJE has performed at leading venue
 s and festivals including the Kennedy Center\, Birdland\, Blue Note\, Wint
 er JazzFest\, and the Kuala Lumpur Jazz Festival. Their four albums includ
 e Naima (2010) and IMA IMA (2018)\, with a new release&mdash\;MEG OKURA by
  Meg Okura &amp\; the Pan Asian Chamber Jazz Ensemble&mdash\;featuring leg
 endary trumpeter Randy Brecker. Regina Carter called the album &ldquo\;a p
 rofound musical statement&mdash\;an emotionally rich and expansive work th
 at highlights her exceptional talents as a composer\, violinist\, and visi
 onary bandleader.&rdquo\; Tokyo-native and New York-based\, Okura has also
  performed and recorded with Michael Brecker\, Lee Konitz\, Steve Swallow\
 , Tom Harrell\, and John Zorn\, among others. Her compositions have been p
 erformed by chamber groups including Soli Chamber Ensemble and Unheard-of 
 Ensemble. She is the recipient of the ISJAC Fundamental Freedoms Commissio
 n Prize and the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra&rsquo\;s George Duke Commissionin
