Yuri Freeman has a Ph.D. in solid state physics\, the foundation of mod
ern electronics and 62 United States and international patents. In his car
eer as a scientist and engineer\, Freeman developed the most advanced Tant
alum capacitors\, the key parts of life-saving cardio implants and space s
ystems. For this work\, Freeman received the Ekeberg Prize\, the highest a
ward in this field of applied science and engineering. Freeman participate
d in the Russian space program and then was invited to the United States b
y Sprague Electric in Sanford\, Maine\, where he got involved in the U.S.
space program.
