 ce a month for six months (March-August) to explore the elements of craft.
  Each month\, we will have a short tutorial on one aspect of fiction writi
 ng\, including character\, wants\, plot\, dialogue\, and resolution\, foll
 owed by discussing two to four participant submissions of existing short s
 tories\, opening novel chapters\, or new work inspired by the workshop.</p
 >\n<p>Submissions will be compiled into one document and emailed to partic
 ipants.</p>\n<p>Writers will be invited to help guide the agenda for feedb
 ack about their own work. Participants should commit to:<br />&middot\; Su
 bmitting one to two times during the six months<br />&middot\; Submitting 
 by the due date<br />&middot\; Reading up to 10\,000 words (approximately 
 40 typed\, double-spaced pages) per class<br />&middot\; Responding to oth
 er people&rsquo\;s drafts during workshop</p>\n<p>It's important to the wo
 rkshop process that we create a community of writers who know and trust ea
 ch other\, so please commit to attending at least five of the six classes.
  Space is limited and registration is required.</p>\n<p><strong>Susan Petr
 one</strong>&nbsp\;is the author of the novels&nbsp\;<em>The Musical Mozin
 skis</em>&nbsp\;(2024)\,&nbsp\;<em>The Heebie-Jeebie Girl</em>&nbsp\;(2020
 )\,&nbsp\;<em>The Super Ladies</em>&nbsp\;(2018)\,&nbsp\;<em>Throw Like a 
 Woman</em>&nbsp\;(2015)\, and&nbsp\;<em>A Body at Rest</em>&nbsp\;(2009). 
 She is a recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award for
  fiction. She has been published in such diverse venues as the&nbsp\;<em>C
 leveland Noir</em>&nbsp\;anthology\,&nbsp\;<em>Glimmer Train</em>\, ESPN.c
 om\,&nbsp\;<em>Belt</em>\, and&nbsp\;<em>Whiskey Island</em>. Her short st
 ory\, &ldquo\;Monster Jones Wants to Creep You Out&rdquo\; (Conclave\, 201
 0) was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She is also one of the co-founders
