\nCome to Music &a mp\; Movement at the library!
\nIt's a cross between a storytime and a dance party.
\nThe program is targeted to toddlers and preschoole rs. Babies are welcome at the program! But\, please know that we use recor ded music and it will be louder and more high energy than our Baby Storyti mes.
\nOther than LOTS of singing and dancing\, we sometimes use pro ps like scarves\, ribbons\, and shakers. We always end with bubbles. And I will share a singable book somewhere in the middle!
\nMusic and mov ement teach the early literacy skills of listening and following direction s\, anticipation\, and rhyming. Moving to music helps children exhaust pen t-up energy\, builds self-confidence and a positive self-image.

C hildren attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied b y an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
