Celebrate Jane Austen's 250th birthday wit h us as we explore the different ways Jane Austen's novels have been adapt ed into feature-length films since the 1940s. \;
\nOver the past 80 years many actors\, writers\, and directors have approached these clas sic \;stories \;in different ways\, some staying faithful to the o riginal \;story \;lines and others finding new ways of presenting them to a new generation. Barry Deitz\, Library Director of Conant Public Library\, will examine these productions and how the world of Jane Austen never loses \;its fascination as we keep returning to these great nove ls and finding something new every time.

oved to Massachusetts in 2013. He has served as the director of the Conant
Public Library in Winchester since December 2021. Over the years\, Barry
has worked as a book and film reviewer\, radio and television host\, and h
as traveled throughout New England presenting literary programs on topics
ranging from the Transcendentalists of Concord to Mary Shelley&rsquo\;s
