 >Facilitator: </strong>Richard Reiter is a scholar-in-residence at the Uni
 versity of North Florida where he lectures on European Security and on Cli
 mate Change Policy. He served for over thirty years as a Foreign Service O
 fficer with the U.S. State Department\, achieving Senior Foreign Service r
 ank and working primarily in Europe\, Brazil and Afghanistan\, most recent
 ly departing Brazil in July 2023.&nbsp\;His work included service as&nbsp\
 ;Charg&eacute\; d'affaires&nbsp\;in Iceland\, as the Director of the State
  Department office responsible for the U.S. relationship with NATO\, and i
 n the White House as Special Advisor to then-Vice President Joe Biden.&nbs
 p\;</p>\n<p><strong>About Great Decisions:</strong></p>\n<p>Great Decision
 s is America's largest discussion program on world affairs. The program mo
 del involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book (optional)\, and me
 eting in a discussion group to discuss critical global issues facing Ameri
 ca today. Each meeting begins with a video lecture on the discussion topic
  presented by Jeffrey S. Morton\, the Pierrepont Comfort Chair in Politica
 l Science at Florida Atlantic University and a Fellow at the Foreign Polic
 y Association and is followed by facilitator commentary and facilitator-le
 d discussion.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Registration is required for this ev
 ent\, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library c
 ard and PIN is required for registration. If you do not have a card\, clic
