Chine-collé\; is a printmaking techn ique that makes a print and glues papers together at the same time. Tradit ionally\, chine-collé\; would create a print of an etching on a thin piece of paper and glue the thin paper to a thicker paper in one motion. "Chine" comes from the French "China"\, where the thin papers were often s ourced from\, and "collé\;" is French "glue" (just like "collage"!).  \;

Using our relief-cut stamps and tissue p aper\, you will make a mixed media Chine-collé\; print of your very own. Enter to win a prize!
