The Africana Arts &\; Humanities Festiv al (AAHF) is the signature annual cultural and intellectual convening of t he African-American Research Library &\; Cultural Center (AARLCC)\, a n ationally recognized institution dedicated to preserving\, celebrating\, a nd advancing the global Black experience through research\, scholarship\, arts\, and community engagement.
\nAAHF brings together authors\, sc holars\, artists\, performers\, and families for a multi-day celebration o f Black culture\, history\, creativity\, and storytelling. The festival bl ends lectures\, literary events\, performances\, youth activations\, famil y programming\, and curated cultural installations that illuminate the ric hness of the African diaspora.
\nThe 2026 theme\, &ldquo\;We\, Too\, Sing America: 250 Years of Black Life and Culture\,&rdquo\; draws inspira tion from Langston Hughes&rsquo\; &ldquo\;I\, Too\,&rdquo\; affirming the dignity\, resilience\, and rightful presence of Black voices in the Americ an narrative. This year&rsquo\;s programming will highlight historical per spectives\, contemporary scholarship\, artistic excellence\, and intergene rational learning.
