 al fiction novel by Kristin Harmel about an elderly jewel thief in Boston 
 who\, in 2018\, seeks answers about her sister's disappearance during WWII
  Paris after a stolen bracelet resurfaces. The story alternates between Co
 lette's present-day quest and her past\, where she and her mother stole je
 wels to fund the French Resistance\, leading to tragedy in 1942. The novel
  explores themes of family\, loss\, morality\, and the legacy of war\, fol
 lowing Colette as she uses her skills to uncover the truth about her siste
