 y will host the &lsquo\;Science Friction&rsquo\; Sci-fi Book Club. Science
  Friction will meet every fourth Thursday of the month to discuss recent p
 ublications of science fiction.</p>\n<p>Science and speculative fiction be
 gan as a genre of experimentation\, where authors used the genre as a sand
 box to play with imagined realities of what our world could be. Our club r
 eads stories that keep the spark of this imagination\, and use it to chall
 enge how we think about the world today.</p>\n<p>Meetings are In-Person at
  the Takoma Park Neighborhood Library in the downstairs meeting room. We m
 eet every fourth Thursday of the month through the October 2026 from 6:30p
 m to 7:45pm.&nbsp\;November and December meetings will take place in the s
 ame time slot on the third Thursday of the month to accommodate for holida
 y closures.</p>\n<p>All materials are available through the DCPL Catalog i
