Beginner Someone has used a sewing machine before but may need aid on threading th e machine and may need additional practice keeping an even seam allowance.
Confident Beginner Someone who can sew straight and curved seams while keeping a co nsistent seam allowance\, can thread a standard machine and wind a bobbin\ , has a basic understanding of different fabric types and has completed se veral projects.
Intermediate Someone who is comfortable with working and threading s ewing machines\, sewing patterns with markings and notations\, has an unde rstanding of fabric types and interfacing\, and has experience with using a variety of tools\, notions\, and presser feet.
Advanced Someone who is comfortable with working and threading both sewing machines and sergers\, sewing patt erns with markings and notations\, has an understanding of both woven and knit fabric types and interfacing\, and has experience using a wide variet y of tools\, notions\, and presser feet.
