\nIn it\, M s. Moore shares many aspects of her career and life\, as well as how she n avigated the successes and challenges that came her way.

In the \;legendary \; \;musical\, &ldquo\;Hair&rdquo\;\, \;Ms. Moore became the first African American \;actress \;on Broadway \;to take over a leading role from a white \;actress\, who was Diane Keaton.â €¯
\nHer historic Tony win in 1970 for &ldquo\;Purlie&rdquo\;â €¯ of \;which she became the first African American \;actress&n bsp\;to win in the category of Best Female Lead \;Actress.
\nOn the 1972 CBS-TV \;summer variety series with Clifton Davis ("The†¯Melba Moore/Clifton Davis Hour") both he and Melba \;was \ ;the \;first African American \;couple \;co-host a networkâ €¯television variety show.
\nHit \;records include &ldquo\;Yo u Stepped \;Into \;My Life&rdquo\;\, \;&ldquo\;This Is it&rdqu o\;\, \;&ldquo\;Falling&rdquo\;\, \;&ldquo\;Love&rsquo\;s Comin&rs quo\; At Cha&rdquo\; and the Grammy nominated\, &ldquo\;Read My Lips&rdquo \;. \; \;
\nMelba&rsquo\;s rendition of &ldquo\;Lift Every V oice and Sing&rdquo\; was selected by the Library of Congress for the Nati onal Recording Registry in 2016.
\nIn 2022\, Melba released the albu m &ldquo\;Imagine&rdquo\;\, executive produced by her daughter\, Charli Hu ggins\, for the family-owned company\, The Gallery Entertainment. \;&n bsp\;
\nMelba earned the Star of Hollywood&rsquo\;s Walk of Fame in 2023. \;
