If you're intimidated by installing a zipp er\, join us for this 2-hour workshop to help build this foundational skil l so you can sew with confidence! In this program\, you will learn about d ifferent materials and lengths of zippers and how to choose the right one for your sewing project\, regular vs. invisible zippers\, different ways t o install a zipper\, types of zipper (presser) feet for sewing machines an d common problems you may encounter and how to fix them. We will then prac tice installing a zipper by sewing a small zippered pouch that you can use to store money\, makeup\, art supplies\, etc. \;
\nThis program is intended for those who have used a sewing machine before\, and all mat erials for the class will be provided. Participants can use one of the lib rary's machines or bring a sewing machine from home if they prefer (be sur e to bring the machine's manual with at least 1 sewing bobbin to fit your machine). Space is limited and registration is required so be sure to sign up early! \;
