\nThis is a drop-in event for families with chil dren of all ages and their caregiver(s).
\nEarly Learning Programs f or young children at WPL are based on literacy research and include tips a nd information for parents and caregivers. Your active participation in th ese programs will maximize the experience for you and your child.
\nBarbara Reid is the bestselling author and illustrat or of more than a dozen picture books\, and the illustrator of over twenty -five. She has won the Ezra Jack Keats Award\, the Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People\, the Governor General&rsquo\;s Award for Ill ustration and the Ruth and Sylvia Schwartz Award. In 2013 she became a mem ber of the Order of Canada\, and in 2015 she was named Honorary Chair of F amily Literacy Day. Her book Picture the Sky won the 2018 CBC Fan Choice A ward and was shortlisted for the 2018 TD Canadian Children&rsquo\;s Litera ture Award. She lives in Toronto\, Ontario.
