Join DC Public Library for a special Marti n Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memori al Library\, commemorating the \;40th anniversary of the iconic MLK Mu ral&mdash\;a lasting symbol of Dr. King&rsquo\;s vision\, resilience\, and call to collective action in the heart of the nation&rsquo\;s capital.
\nThis commemorative gathering will reflect on the mural&rsquo\;s crea tion and enduring impact through \;remarks from members of the family of Don Miller\, whose artistry and leadership helped shape this historic work . Their reflections will honor the mural not only as a work of public art\, but as a living testament to the values of justice\, dignity\, and h ope that continue to guide our city.
\nThe program will also feature a moving musical performance by the Seasons of Love Ensemble of the Gay Men&rsquo\;s Chorus of Washington\, offering a powerful ex pression of love\, remembrance\, and community through song.

\nThe Gay Men&rsquo\;s Chorus of Washington\, DC (GMCW) \;is o ne of the nation&rsquo\;s leading LGBTQ+ performing arts organizations\, k nown for its powerful vocals and dynamic productions. Founded in 1981\, th e chorus brings together more than 300 performers who use music to inspire hope\, celebrate diversity\, and promote equality across the DC region an d beyond.
