She studied traditional Chinese brush painting with reno wned masters in Hong Kong\; attended Mills College of Oakland\, National S chool of Fine Arts in Paris\, and Fashion Institute of Technology in New Y ork\, to pursue degrees in design and western art. Pauline teaches paintin g and calligraphy classes at art museums\, public libraries\, and communit y centers.
