In honor of Jewish-American Heritage Month \, join cookbook author and Jewish food expert Emily Paster for an explora tion of Sephardic Jewish cuisine. Emily will provide an overview of Sephar dic cuisine\, which encompasses foods from the Mediterranean\, North Afric a\, and the Middle East\, with a special emphasis on the traditional foods for the late spring festival of Shavuot. Emily will also demonstrate how to make basbousa\, an Egyptian semolina cake flavored with rose water\, th at is found throughout this region.
