 trong>About our Presenters:&nbsp\;</strong></h4>\n<p><strong>Cal Raijin Ta
 iko:&nbsp\;</strong>In the Spring of 2005\, a small-but-committed group of
  students pooled together their resources and formed UC Berkeley's first t
 aiko group. Since then\, Cal Raijin Taiko has gone on to become Berkeley's
  premier Japanese drumming performance ensemble. With a repertoire consist
 ing entirely of original compositions\, Cal Raijin Taiko performs to sprea
 d the knowledge\, love\, and passion of taiko to both the campus and the s
 urrounding communities.</p>\n<p><strong>Cal VSA Lion Dance</strong>\, foun
 ded in 2012 through the Vietnamese Student Association's Culture Show\, is
  UC Berkeley&rsquo\;s one and only student-run lion dance team. Earnestly 
 serving the local bay area for the past 11 years\, we've developed a tight
 -knit team of students and alumni connected by culture\, passion\, and com
 radery.</p>\n<p><strong>Charlotte Cheng </strong>has written and illustrat
 ed a variety of books including <em>Night Market Rescue</em>\,<em> A Name 
 For Sister</em>\, <em>Roar-Choo!</em>\, <em>BoBo Celebrates Chinese New Ye
 ar</em>\, and <em>I Miss You Most</em>. Represented by Red Fox Literary\, 
 Charlotte&rsquo\;s spoken at diverse events and taught interactive worksho
 ps around the world. With over 20 years of EdTech experience\, Charlotte h
 as also developed curriculum for companies that include: CodeCombat\, Disn
 ey\, KQED\, and Wonder Workshop. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area\,
  where she enjoys playing board games and the ukulele while sampling local

 ers</strong> is the one &amp\; only Chinese dance team at UC Berkeley. Est
 ablished in 2003 as a Registered Student Organization\, FTD supports dance
 rs of all backgrounds in developing their Chinese dance skill &amp\; techn
 ique\, enhancing their comprehension of traditional Chinese culture\, &amp
 \; in spreading greater awareness of Chinese classical &amp\; ethnic cultu
 res to the bigger community. FTD incorporates classical\, ethnic\, &amp\; 
 modern Chinese dances into its repertoire through creating original choreo
 graphy &amp\; learning traditional works\, performing on campus &amp\; thr
 oughout the Bay Area.</p>\n<p><strong>Leung's White Crane</strong>: Founde
 d in 1971 by the Leung brothers\,&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Kuen Leung\, Kwan Leung\, a
 nd Allen Leung\, our organization is committed to coaching and carrying fo
 rward&nbsp\;the traditions of traditional Chinese Kung Fu and Lion Dance. 
 Since 1992 our team has traveled throughout the world to compete in variou
 s lion dance competitions and&nbsp\; has&nbsp\;developed a strong reputati
 on in the competitive sport of lion dancing. For the last 15 years we have
  represented the USA at the International World Championships.&nbsp\;</p>\
 n<p><strong>Minnie Phan</strong> is an award winning Vietnamese-American i
 llustrator and writer based in Oakland\, CA. Her past clients include the 
 San Francisco Museum of Modern Art\, Chronicle Books\, and the San Francis
 co Public Library\, with which she illustrated a citywide reading campaign
  in 2022. Working in a broad range of media\, her accomplishments include 
 collaborating with Pulitzer Prize winning author Viet Thanh Nguyen\, paint
 ing a 250 square foot mural for Google\, and most recently\, illustrating 
 the Vietnamese American Model Curriculum for the California Department of 
 Education. Phan has been recognized by the The New York Times\, Society of
  Illustrators\, and Eisner Awards. She is the illustrator of the picture b
 ooks The Yellow &Aacute\;o D&agrave\;i and Simone.</p>\n<p>Born in Stockto
 n\, CA to refugee parents\, Phan believes art can transform lives and be a
  vehicle for social impact. When she isn&rsquo\;t in her studio\, Phan con
 tributes to KALW Public Media\, whose mission is to ignite conversations\,
  uplift new voices\, challenge prevailing narratives\, and empower communi
 ties to envision a better world.</p>\n<p><strong>San Francisco Gu-Zheng Mu
 sic Society</strong> was formed in 1982 to promote and share the rich Chin
 ese heritage through traditional\, classical\, folk\, and contemporary mus
 ic. Its goals are:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>to introduce the music of guzheng (an an
 cient Chinese stringed instrument that dates back 2500 years) to the San F
 rancisco Bay Area\;</li>\n<li>to promote a greater understanding and appre
 ciation of traditional Chinese music and culture\; and</li>\n<li>to provid
 e cultural exchange and performance opportunities for guzheng enthusiasts
