The Indianapolis Chinese Orchestra was for med over 15 years ago by group leader and conductor\, Ka Liang Qing. Under Ka Laoshi (Our Teacher)\, the orchestra has developed into a talented gro up of amateur performers who perform with traditional Chinese instruments\ , some dating back over 3000 years. \;They perform at various festival s and cultural events with the goal of introducing the audience to traditi onal and contemporary Chinese music while adding some familiar American mu sic classics. \;
