X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Bexley is an architectural treasure! The b
eauty and charm of its residential neighborhoods reflects an inspired era
in residential architecture that is both timeless and enduring. The period
between 1910 and 1930 saw an explosion in popular architectural styles th
at coincided with the development of Bexley as a first ring suburb\, an al
ternative to living &ldquo\;in the city.&rdquo\; Come and explore with us
the evolution of architectural styles from the early beginnings of Columbu
s and its newly created downtown to and beyond the rapidly developing Bexl
ey area between 1910-1930. You will also learn how to &ldquo\;deconstruct&
rdquo\; architectural design: what are the key elements and composition of
a design that make it appealing to the eye and what principles and rules
help create harmony and balance (both for a specific house as well as with
in the context of its neighborhood).&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><br />Co-presented by
Larry Helman of the Bexley Historical Society and Karen Bokor\, staff cons
ultant to Bexley&rsquo\;s Architectural Review Board. The talk will be hel
