  depicted by artists? Paintings of the American Revolution have been essen
 tial in the way that the war was understood\, both at the time of the conf
 lict and for generations after. This lecture will explore well-known paint
 ings such as Emanuel Leutze&rsquo\;s Washington Crossing the Delaware\, Jo
 hn Trumbull&rsquo\;s Declaration of Independence\, and Asher Durand&rsquo\
 ;s The Capture of Major Andr&eacute\;.</p>\n<p>Mallory Mortillaro is an ar
 t historian and educator. She has a decade of teaching experience and has 
 worked on various art research projects for museums and organizations in t
 he New York metropolitan area. Her discoveries in the art world have garne
 red her national attention. She studied at Drew University.&nbsp\;Mallory
