 a que\, durante una &eacute\;poca muy antigua\, en un pa&iacute\;s muy lej
 ano\, hab&iacute\;a un pueblo amurallado llamado Montblanc. All&iacute\; v
 iv&iacute\;a un drag&oacute\;n que aterrorizaba a sus gentes\, y su alient
 o llenaba de miedo cada rinc&oacute\;n del reino.&nbsp\;Sus habitantes\, d
 esesperados\, decidieron que\, para calmar su apetito\, cada semana ofrece
 r&iacute\;an un sacrificio. Durante mucho tiempo\, el destino cay&oacute\;
  sobre campesinos\, soldados y gente humilde\, hasta que un d&iacute\;a el
  sorteo se&ntilde\;al&oacute\; a la princesa\, vestida de blanco. La princ
 esa fue conducida fuera de las murallas hacia el lugar donde aguardaba la 
 bestia\, y el silencio del pueblo la acompa&ntilde\;&oacute\; en cada paso
 . Entonces apareci&oacute\; Jordi\, un valiente caballero montado en su ca
 ballo. Tras una dura batalla\, venci&oacute\; al drag&oacute\;n\, y de la 
 sangre derramada brot&oacute\; un rosal de rosas rojas. Jordi cort&oacute\
 ; una de ellas y se la ofreci&oacute\; a la princesa como s&iacute\;mbolo 
 de vida\, amor y esperanza. Con el paso del tiempo\, la historia se transm
 iti&oacute\; de generaci&oacute\;n en generaci&oacute\;n\, y junto a la ro
 sa naci&oacute\; tambi&eacute\;n un libro\, recordando que las palabras y 
 las historias tienen la fuerza de vencer cualquier obst&aacute\;culo. Desd
 e entonces\, cada 23 de abril en Catalu&ntilde\;a se celebra Sant Jordi\, 
 intercambiando libros y rosas\, honrando el amor\, la valent&iacute\;a\, l
 a cultura y la magia de las historias.</p>\n<p>Y este a&ntilde\;o en Redmo
 nd\, la leyenda cobra vida en la biblioteca:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Podr&aacute\;s
  pasear entre puestos de librer&iacute\;as locales con libros para descubr
 ir y comprar\, o traer un libro que te haya marcado\, envuelto y con una n
 ota que cuente por qu&eacute\; es especial\, para intercambiarlo con otra 
 persona. Cada historia y cada libro viajan as&iacute\; a nuevas manos y nu
 evos corazones.</li>\n<li>Adem&aacute\;s\, habr&aacute\; manos a la obra: 
 aprender&aacute\;s a hacer rosas de papel en un taller de origami con Gonz
 alo Benavente&nbsp\;crear y decorar tus propios puntos de libro con Christ
 i Zorrilla</li>\n<li>Conoce a la autora local Ana Guti&eacute\;rrez\, a qu
 ien su amor por las historias inspir&oacute\; su primera novela\, <em>When
  Darkness Falls.</em></li>\n<li>y participar en EXPR&Eacute\;SArte\, un ta
 ller breve de escritura r&aacute\;pida con Pia Allende\, donde aprender&aa
 cute\;s a contar mucho con poco.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Ser&aacute\; un d&iacute\
 ;a para disfrutar\, crear\, compartir historias y reconectar con los libro
 s\, un momento en el que grandes y chicos pueden dejar los tel&eacute\;fon
 os a un lado y vivir la magia de Sant Jordi en persona.<br /><br />Para es

  English:</em></span></p>\n<p>Sant Jordi: Books\, Roses &amp\; Stories<br 
 /><br />Legend says that\, long ago\, in a faraway land\, there was a wall
 ed town called Montblanc. There lived a dragon that terrorized the people\
 , and its breath filled every corner of the kingdom with fear.&nbsp\;Despe
 rate\, the townspeople decided that to calm its appetite\, they would offe
 r a person each week by lottery. For a long time\, the fate fell on farmer
 s\, soldiers\, and humble folk&mdash\;until one day\, the lot chose the pr
 incess\, dressed in white. She was led beyond the walls to face the dragon
 \, and the silence of the town followed her every step. Then Jordi\, a bra
 ve knight on horseback\, appeared. After a fierce battle\, he defeated the
  dragon\, and from its spilled blood bloomed a bush of red roses. Jordi pi
 cked one rose and offered it to the princess\, a symbol of life\, love\, a
 nd hope. Over time\, the story was passed down through generations\, and a
 longside the rose\, a book was born\, reminding us that words and stories 
 have the power to overcome any obstacle. Since then\, every April 23rd\, C
 atalonia celebrates Sant Jordi\, exchanging books and roses to honor love\
 , courage\, culture\, and the magic of shared stories.</p>\n<p>This year i
 n Redmond\, the legend comes alive at the library:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stroll a
 mong local bookstore stalls to discover and buy books\, or bring a book th
 at has meant something to you\, wrapped with a note explaining why it is s
 pecial\, and exchange it with someone else. Every book carries its story t
 o new hands and new hearts.</li>\n<li>You can also get creative: make pape
 r roses in an origami workshop with Gonzalo Benavente\, design and decorat
 e your own bookmarks (puntos de libro) with Christi Zorrilla.</li>\n<li>Me
 et local author Ana Gutierrez whose love of stories inspired her first nov
 el\, <em>When Darkness Falls.</em></li>\n<li>Or Join EXPR&Eacute\;SArte\, 
 a short creative writing session with Pia Allende where you&rsquo\;ll lear
